Joyce Womble is our Artist of the Month for February. Her painting "What's Behind the Door" is now hanging in the foyer of
Deltona City Hall.
The Deltona Art Club established in 1968, recognized Joyce Womble as February’s Featured Artist of the Month. Her artwork is titled “What’s Behind the Door.” It is an oil medium that she painted a few years ago. It will be displayed in the foyer of the Deltona City Hall for this month.
Joyce started painting about 15 years ago, after taking a Bob Ross class. She studied with Erlinda Fitzpatrick in Port Orange, Florida. Many of her themes to paint come from traveling to places and things she sees in magazines. She likes ocean seascapes, mountain view, landscapes, cattle and horses.
Joyce said, “What ever your talent is just bring it and join us”. Most people think they are not good enough to join, but when they come to the Deltona Art Club, they find new friends and have fun. She said it was the best thing she ever did.
